Around the same time, Nat opened the Hillbilly Music Center--the first and only hillbilly country record store in New York City. Frequented by visiting country stars, A&R men, and publishers when they came to town, it became the "in" place for country music. When Nat teamed up with local RCA recording star Rosalie Allen, the store took off and the name was changed to "Rosalie Allen's Hillbilly Music Center." |
